Privacy Policy

Paintrip ("we") respects your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we store it when you use the Paintrip app.

Data we collect

• Photos you upload or capture — used to generate the illustration you requested. Both the original and the generated photo are saved in your account history, and can be deleted at any time by deleting your account in the app.
• Account information — the email and identifier provided by Sign in with Apple or Google when you sign in.
• Purchase information — product, transaction and subscription status associated with your account, processed through Apple App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
• Community activity — if you use the Community feature: the username you choose, which of your pictures you make public, the likes you give, and the reports you submit. Your real name and email are never shown in Community — only the username you pick yourself.
• Usage and diagnostics — app interactions, app and OS version, device information, installation identifiers, performance data and crash reports collected through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

What Community makes visible to others

Pictures are private by default. A picture is only visible to other people after you explicitly share it to Community, and you can stop sharing it at any time — once you do, other signed-in users immediately lose access to it. Only the generated picture is ever shared; the original photo you uploaded is never shown to anyone else.

When a picture is shared, other signed-in Paintrip users can see it along with your username, save it, and share it outside the app. We can’t recall copies that other people already saved or shared before you stopped sharing — that is inherent to publishing anything publicly.

How we use your data

To generate the illustrations you request, keep your photo history, authenticate your sign-in, process purchases and credits, prevent fraud and abuse, operate Community, diagnose crashes and improve product quality.

Third parties that process your data

• Google Firebase — authentication, product analytics and crash diagnostics.
• Google Gemini API (paid service) — receives the photo and generation instructions needed to create your illustration. Google does not use prompts, uploaded files or responses from its paid service to improve its products, but may retain them for a limited period for abuse monitoring, security and legal obligations under its terms.
• Cloudflare — infrastructure for storing photos and processing requests.
• Apple App Store or Google Play, and RevenueCat — payment processing, receipt validation and management of purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your Paintrip user identifier and purchase history.

Reporting and moderation

Every picture in Community can be reported from inside the app. A picture reported by enough separate people is hidden from Community automatically, and its owner can no longer share it again. We keep a record of who reported what so the same person can’t report a picture repeatedly.

Storage, retention and deletion

Account data, credit balance, original photos, generated pictures and Community activity are kept while your account remains active. When you delete your account, we promptly remove them from Paintrip’s active Cloudflare storage and database. Limited residual copies may remain temporarily in infrastructure backups, security logs or third-party systems before being deleted or anonymized under the providers’ retention policies.

Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase and Google Gemini may retain purchase, analytics, diagnostic or security records under their own legal obligations and retention policies. Deleting Paintrip does not itself cancel a store subscription.

Your rights

You can delete your Paintrip account and associated content at any time using Delete Account in the app’s Profile, or request deletion by email if you cannot access the app — see the Delete Account guide. You must cancel an active subscription separately in Apple App Store or Google Play. You may also contact us to request access to or correction or deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable law.

Age requirement

Paintrip is intended for users aged 13 and older. The app-store age rating may be higher in some countries or regions. We collect and use personal data from users aged 13–15 only as described in this policy. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 has provided data to Paintrip.
